St. Emily opened nearly 40 charitable schools and care homes. She is know for educating the poor and taking care of the sick and elderly. A prayer to her is on the back of the holy card.
O St. Emily,
you who in the church,
wanted to continue
to manifest the Father's love,
as realised through
the Incarnation of the Son,
grant us your docility to the Spirit,
your audacity and
your apostolic courage.
May we be called to follow you in
living for God's glory,
we lift our hearts in prayer;
be with us today St. Emily.
Amen.
